The Music Man

Reviewed by Leigh Kimmel

Robert Preston stars in this story of a lovable rogue reformed by a woman with a heart of gold. Professor Howard Hill, the "Music Man" of the title, is a cynical shyster who travells to various small towns and sells them boys' bands as the cure-all for their social troubles. He also enjoys romancing and then abandoning the local piano teacher. However, he discovers that the people of River City, Iowa, are more than he'd bargained for.

Enjoy again all those old favorites like "Iowa Stubborn," "76 Trombones," and "Good Night My Someone." The Music Man would make a great gift for the music lover or marching band member in your family.
